I have been fortunate enough to start my postdoctoral studies at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. I will be working on the evolution and spread of political ideologies in South Slavic lands, especially in relation to the comparison between the Habsburg Monarchy and the Kingdom of Serbia.
I had a great experience participating in the Helsinki Digital Humanities Hackathon, organized by the University of Helsinki. My group was tasked with sentiment and emotional analysis by using Machine Learning on the ParlaMint corpora.
I had the great pleasure of conducting research on the analysis of political speeches and extremist language at the College of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (FSPAC) in Cluj-Napoca in Romania.
I was fortunate to spend a month at the Faculty of Informatics at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) in Madrid, Spain. As part of a CLS-Infra project, I was able to pursue novel research methods by employing Large Language Models in text processing and classification.
I have spent a couple of months at the Institute for Contemporary History in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where I was fortunate to work with state-of-the-art OCR software. I was also able to learn different methods and approaches to corpora creation, which was an excellent experience.
